Playgroups are super fun, and volunteer participation in support is vital to the success of our program. Our methods for dog introductions are designed to lower arousal and offer consent and choice to every dog. We take things as slow as needed for everyone to feel comfortable while we gather information to create pairs and groups of dogs who enjoy being together. This opportunity includes training and ongoing support from the Behavior Team, and there are a number of different support roles from data collection to handling the leash. Playgroups run on Thursday & Sunday mornings; shifts are 2 hours long. *Before signing up for a training, please ensure you have reviewed and completed all the prerequisites (Tier 1 and Tier 2). **REQUIRED TRAINING for Tier 1** (15 years of age and older) BEFORE SIGNING UP AND ATTENDING THE TIER 1 IN-PERSON TRAINING, YOU MUST FIRST COMPLETE ALL THE PREREQUISITE ONLINE MODULES: shorturl.at/gLFf7 **REQUIRED TRAINING for Tier 2** (17 years of age and older) Must have completed the in-person Tier 1 training and 6 hours within Tier 1, along with the Tier 1 online training modules.
